The intrepid Greg Sterling recently posted a summary of stats drawn from a recent NY Times article. This stat really stood out: "the number of self-employed people ages 55 to 64 is soaring...climbing 52 percent from 2000 to 2007."

The percentage of Women in business today is very encouraging to other women who want to start a business but was skeptical.
Well, I'm 49, I'm a woman, and I recently started my own business and I'm on Merchant Circle! So,yeah, I think that a lot of baby boomers are starting, or have started, their own businesses.
